10月1日, the ISACA Kenya Chapter will join the ISACA Global community in the fourth annual worldwide day of volunteerism for ISACA CommunITy Day. 今年, with the lift of COVID-19 restrictions, Kenya chapter members’ families and friends will make a difference by re-visiting three children’s homes: 年轻生命非洲儿童之家, Compassionate Hands for the Disabled Foundation and Heritage of Faith and Hope Children’s 首页. The participants will either be visiting the homes in person or/and contributing donations.
年轻生命非洲儿童之家
Young Life Africa Children’s 首页 focuses on boys’ empowerment. This home targets orphans and vulnerable children from underprivileged areas in society. 他们的任务是营救, 恢复, 适应, educate and feed orphans and vulnerable children from society, targeting young boys from 5 to 18 years. They promote disciplined education through multi-skilling and competence-based learning. They accomplish this by focusing on empowering and educating the young orphaned and underprivileged boys in areas of STEM, 创造性的工作, 体育, 农业等.

In the long term, the ISACA Kenya Chapter, through the One In Tech基金会, is looking forward to providing mentorship, especially in the areas of technology and innovation in collaboration with our various partners.

Compassionate Hands for the Disabled Foundation
Compassionate Hands for the Disabled Foundation focuses on orphans and other vulnerable children with mental and/or physical disabilities. Their mission is to 适应 children with special needs and empower them economically, socially and spiritually to overcome limitations stemming from their disability. Their immediate needs include quality shelter, medication, diapers, dry foods, fruits and vegetables.
The more than 100 children in this home come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. They have experienced stigmas and discrimination against their mental and/or physical disabilities. T在这里 are some cases of rescued children who never saw the light of day as their parents were either afraid or embarrassed to socialize them publicly. These vulnerable children need therapy, 医疗支持, schooling and an environment w在这里 they can thrive.

Heritage of Faith and Hope Children’s 首页
The Heritage of Faith and Hope Children’s 首页 mission is to transform the lives of orphans and vulnerable children through 护理, providing quality education and providing spiritual guidance. Their vision is to be a comprehensive 护理, 保护, empowerment and transformation children/youth center.
Heritage of Faith and Hope Children’s 首页 invites people of good will to come forward and partner with their vision, which entails giving home and hope to orphans and vulnerable children by transforming their lives through love, 护理, 保护和, 最重要的是, 为他们提供优质教育, which will enable them to be self-reliant in the future.
